Peripheral Neuropathy

We have the unique ability to resolve peripheral neuropathy including that of physical damage, diabetic, chemotherapy and altered metabolic forms.  Our clinic has the most advanced tools/technology required to resolve all forms of peripheral neuropathy.

We are board certified in the diagnosis and treatment of peripheral neuropathy

Peripheral neuropathy is the term used to indicate a nerve that has suffered either physical or metabolic damage, characterized by decreased ability to propagate neurological impulses from the spinal cord to the body, or in reverse from the body to the spinal cord, or its inability to generate correct electrical sensation waveforms due to damaged nerve cells.

Essentially the nerve involved is slowly dying, and if left untreated, could eventually die with no possibility of regeneration.  This will result in permanent loss of either sensation to a body part, or paralysis to muscles the nerve supplies impulses to for function.  Many reasons exist as to why a neuropathy developed in the first place, but in most cases, the condition did not develop overnight.  The nerve developed damaged in one of two ways:

  1. Physical damage involving a crush, stretch, or compression injury anywhere along the length of the nerves pathway, usually in the neck, arms or legs.
  2. Metabolic damage due to:
  • Decreased blood flow resulting from constricted arteries/high blood pressure/atherosclerosis
  • High glucose levels (diabetes)
  • Celiac Disease
  • After effects of chemotherapy/radiation
  • Alcoholism
  • High sodium levels
  • Low B12 levels or inability to absorb it
  • Digestive system issues (candida)
  • Amyloidosis
  • Fabry's disease (genetic fat enzyme deficiency)
  • Lyme disease
  • Autoimmune Disease (ex. lupus/vasculitis..)
  • Side effects from specific medications

Treatments to resolve neuropathy require several specific medical interventions, each with a unique role to play in the regeneration process.

The comprehensive treatment process involves the combined use of:

  • nerve neurostimulator regenerator technology
  • high energy pulsed electromagnetic field therapy (PEMF),
  • vascular infrared light therapy
  • cardiovascular enhancement technology exercising with oxygen.

These 4 technologies serve unique functions that collectively treat every aspect involved in a neuropathy.  These aspects include:

  • dilate blood vessels increasing blood flow carrying essential vitamin/minerals and most importantly oxygen to damaged nerve fibres
  • increase systemic blood oxygen levels ensuring ample amounts are available to damaged nerves
  • force regeneration of damaged cell bodies so normal electrical waveforms once again can be produced for normal nerve function
  • force damaged nerve fibres to regenerate at points of physical damage

Most peripheral neuropathy presentations are reversible as long as nerve fibres have not been severed or allowed to die due to prolonged compression or disease process exists.

Our diagnostic process provides a thorough comprehensive examination to verify the causes and integrity of all peripheral nerves whether you are experiencing symptoms or not.  Our goal is to find and resolve all conditions sooner than later, in an effort to halt permanent damage from ever developing in the first place.
