I started experiencing intense neck and shoulder pain in my mid-twenties.

What started as a bit of a sore neck after a Martial Arts training session, turned into a years-long ordeal that I’d all but given up hope on, on many occasions.

I bounced around to various health/wellness practitioners (chiropractors, acupuncturists, athletic therapists, physiotherapists, osteopaths, etc.) for three years and while some therapies made me feel relatively better with regards to pain, they never seemed to find or address the actual root cause of it. Throughout this time, I had a level of constant chronic pain peppered with periods of awful flare-ups of both pain and immobility.

In talking about my situation with anyone who would listen, I was referred to Glenn Cameron of Innovative Therapy Canada. At the time, location and transportation seemed like barriers to my seeking help at his clinic, so I opted to pursue more options in the Toronto area.

My general practitioner referred me to a pain management clinic that sought to use medication to temper my pain and simply ignored the underlying cause of my severe discomfort. I gave this approach a try as it seemed like my last resort. The medication only gave minor relief to my daily discomfort and didn’t give me any sense of my prior quality of life back.

As a former athlete and performer who had been unable to work in a physical capacity for what was almost 5 years, I was suddenly reminded of Glenn and his alternative therapies.

I sent Glenn a letter outlining my struggles and after a telephone conversation with him that night I decided to go to Cornwall. I made the 4+ hour drive a couple of days later and it was the best decision I’ve ever made!

I’m emotional just thinking and writing about what a profound effect Glenn has had on my life. I had two days in a row of treatments with Glenn on my first trip up and the change to my body was immediate and lasting.

The first important thing to note about Glenn is that he is curious and he cares. He genuinely wants to discover what the root causes of your problems are so that he can accurately address them and find lasting solutions. In our first call he asked me if any of the practitioners I had seen had ever told me what they thought was ultimately causing my pain. They hadn’t.

And in that case, how could any of those therapies really have been tailored to my individual needs?

Glenn found a plethora of problems that had been building up and causing, or contributing to the pain and immobility I had been experiencing. We had 6 sessions together where he addressed my neck, shoulder, back, hip, knee and foot issues with a combination of Acoustic Shockwave Therapy and Trigenics. In addition, I now have custom orthotics that will also help prevent any of these issues from reoccurring.

Simple movements that you normally don’t even think about, that had been impossible for me for years were now easily achievable!

I was able to get back into the gym after only our first 2 sessions and perform movements that would have previously left me unable to move at all for days.

Riding a bicycle, going for a run, lifting any weight at all above shoulder height, tipping my head backward to look up – all once unattainable, I now don’t have to give a second thought to.

Even my sleep has improved, as I no longer have to sleep with my neck at a very specific angle, with a very specific setup of pillows.

In addition to having back my day to day enjoyment of life, I am now, finally, back on track to working in the field I dreamt about for the last 5 years.

The only regret I now have is that I didn’t go to Glenn’s clinic sooner

Abdominal Adhesions:

I suffered for a very long time before I had a diagnosis of abdominal adhesions. Had laparoscopic surgery but knew it would not cure the adhesions and in fact may make it worse. But for many years after I felt I was doing great and had a very functional life.

The issue with adhesions is they can get very thick and grow and can affect your organs. It got to the point about two years ago that I was not having much of a quality of life, the ‘episodes’ would happen within minutes and could last for days. You never knew when or how intense these episodes would be. I would have a swollen abdomen that made me look 9 months pregnant, issues with digestion and regular bowel movements and felt very exhausted during an episode. I was prescribed buscupan but it really never did anything.

It felt hopeless as there was nothing else that could be done. But I am very fortunate and have a great husband who wouldn’t accept that so searched and found Innovative Therapy, Glenn.

Glenn spoke with me about my health conditions in 2020 but because of Covid I wouldn’t travel. I live in Newfoundland and going to Cornwall, Ontario where we knew nobody was a big decision.

But this last year was brutal, so I contacted Innovative Therapy and arranged for an appointment.

Glenn seen me for two hours a day for two weeks, eight treatments in all. Each week four days in a row but it was intense and very painful. Glenn made it as comfortable he could but work to get results.

I think he deliberately talked about anything and everything just to get my mind on something besides the pain. Glenn also fit me out for Orthotics, and I didn’t even realize the benefits as now I never have back pain and I love to walk, and I can walk without pain now.

After the eight treatments so close together my abdomen was so tender and bruised. The first few weeks after I was getting a little discourage although I wasn’t having full onset episodes, I still had the feeling one could happen. It’s now four weeks later and I am back to doing absolute everything I did before. I love outside and doing outside work and walking is my peaceful time. I can play and lift my grandsons without straining my abdomen that would have resulted almost always in an episode. Just the other day I tried running again, just for 15 minutes but I could do it and no episodes. I can eat nuts and cheese and popcorn and no episodes.

I feel amazing and for a week or, so I was always waiting for the shoe to drop and end up flat on my back again! But it didn’t happen and hasn’t happened in weeks now.

It is a blessing and I am really enjoying my life again and the things I love to do. I know what Glenn has done with Shockwave treatment worked for me and I see more results every day. I feel so healthy and energetic.

I am thankful to my husband for encouraging me to give it a go and for Glenn’s remarkable knowledge of how our bodies should work to give us a quality life. Glenn is the real deal and gets at what is really going on in our bodies and how it works together to make our best healthiest self!

I traveled from California to Cornwall Canada in order to work with Glenn Cameron at Innovative Therapy Canada to see if he could fix my feet. I had started to develop bunions. I could see the pronation of my ankles and the flatness of my arches.

I dance for a living and run a teaching studio for Ballroom dancing lessons, so this development in my feet was seriously bad news. I did extensive searching online to try and find a medical professional who had a solution. I kept hearing all of the same non- solutions. (“it’s hereditary… Change your footwear… There’s no alternative to surgery…” etc.) The agreed-upon solution for bunions in the U.S. seems to be a bunionectomy – which seems to be a rather extreme and barbaric solution. And not for me.

Finally, I came across Glenn’s website and was impressed by the information on it. he talked about bunions in a way that no one else on the web seemed to be doing. Finally finding Glenn’s website was a godsend for me. Here is a man taking a logical and positive approach towards healing bunions! I finally had hope!

I arranged to spend a week in Canada to see if Glenn’s alternative bunion therapy could help me. Coming from California, a trip to Canada was a big commitment of time and money to work with someone I had not met – but as soon as we had our first session together, I knew I had made the right decision. Glenn’s knowledge in his field was very impressive and he explained the process and my situation to me thoroughly. He took the time to answer all my questions ( and, boy, did I have a lot of them ) He definitely put me at ease.

I came to the office for a two-hour session every morning that week. Even after the very first session, I could see a change in the structure of my feet. As it turns out, Glenn discovered that my bunions weren’t exactly what I thought they were. My left foot had a visible protruding bunion and a misalignment of the big toe which was pretty obvious. It turns out that it was not as difficult a bunion to cure as I had anticipated.

My right foot only looked like it had a slight bunion, but it actually had a very calcified big toe joint. It was headed toward arthritis, but since he discovered it soon enough -before the joint began to break down – disaster was averted. I honestly believe he helped me prevent arthritis in my feet.

Glenn also helped me with a years-old problem with my neck and upper back. For one of the treatments, we decided to change our focus and see if he could help my back pain.
For years I have been looking for a whiplash therapy that would help relieve my constant upper back pain. Glenn discovered that my pain was no longer from whiplash, but was resulting from Thoracic outlet syndrome which had developed in conjunction with the whiplash (– something doctors never told me – ) and in one session my pain was greatly reduced.

If you’re considering traveling a distance to work with Glenn at his therapy clinic, I can assure you that it is well worth the trip. This man really knows his stuff. I was at such a loss looking for an alternative therapy in the U.S. Glenn was the only one to offer me a solution- and it worked. His sensitivity to me as a client and his knowledge base around Bunions and muscular adhesions, in general, was so impressive -I cannot recommend him highly enough.

Because the calcification of my toes was such an extreme case, I will have to return a second time to complete the bunion therapy. I am happy to do it, as I can already feel the changes in my feet – and I have complete confidence in this man.

It was an intense week, but I’m so glad I made the choice to do it for myself.
